Sad news peoples, my modem will not be replaced until next week. In one sense I am glad to finally know when to expect it and really, my default expectation for any bloated telcom is the worst possible outcome so this is like fair to middling. If there was a way to destroy them at their source I am sure scientists would have discovered it by now. As it is AT&T will be downgraded on my faceless disaffected ubercorporation scale from the mildy irritating and gross Headlice all the way down to Scabies which is a big drop but you should see Verizon. They are rated Verruca Horribilensis; a terrible and debilitating fungal infection that I just made up.
